The thermal waters of the Pergoli Spring in Tabiano (PR), used at the AFM Aerosol Therapy Center in Ferrara, represent a reliable appointment for wellness and health.

Famous for their prodigious healing virtues, these waters are rich in mineral salts such as sulfates, bicarbonates, and hydrogen sulfide gas, effective because they interact effectively with the body.
For about a century, they have been successfully used in the prevention and treatment of a large part of the disorders of the upper and lower respiratory tract.

Our services

Located just a short walk from the city center, our elegant and functional Aerosol Therapy Center is equipped with state-of-the-art medical devices and instruments. Our services include all forms of inhalation therapy for the treatment of upper respiratory tract and ear-nose-throat conditions.

Endotympanic insufflation

A specific treatment for catarrhal otitis. It is performed by an otorhinolaryngologist and is reserved for those who suffer from rhinogenic deafness.

Politzer

A therapy indicated for both the treatment of childhood rhinogenic deafness and for cases where endotympanic insufflation is not possible. It is performed by an otorhinolaryngologist using modern instruments.

Medical aerosol therapy

Aerosol therapy that uses a specific water-soluble medication, administered under a doctor's prescription.

Warm, humid inhalation

For this treatment, thermal mineral water is administered in the form of a dense fog of water particles at a temperature of approximately 38°C.

Micronized shower

This treatment enhances the effects of inhalation therapy. Large water particles under pressure are used to cleanse the nasal and sinus areas, stimulating a strong absorption of the active ingredients in the thermal water.

Humage therapy

An inhalation therapy that allows the patient to absorb the dissociated gases from the thermal water.

Thermal aerosol

Particularly recommended for airway disorders, this therapy is performed orally or nasally using bottled thermal mineral water.

Polysomnography

One of the main sleep disorders is Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). It is a disorder characterized by the temporary cessation of breathing during sleep. These breathing pauses can last from a few seconds to over a minute and can occur multiple times per hour. These events prevent you from reaching and maintaining deep sleep stages, causing stress on the body.

What are the consequences and health risks?

Lack of sleep can lead to: weight gain, headaches, memory problems, and mood swings. Sleep apnea can increase the risk of high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, obesity, and diabetes. That's why an accurate diagnosis is so important.

How is sleep apnea diagnosed?

Home polysomnography allows for the diagnosis of sleep apnea without hospitalization. Using WatchPAT, a diagnostic device that can be used in the comfort of your own home, avoids stress for the patient. WatchPAT is a small, easy-to-wear wrist device that will collect
data during sleep. A doctor will analyze the collected data and provide a diagnosis.

How is the visit performed?

1. The patient will make an appointment at our center, where the doctor will provide the patient with WatchPAT and explain how to use it.
2. The patient will return the device after use.
3. The doctor, through telemedicine, will analyze the trace recorded by the device during sleep and issue a report.
4. The patient can pick up their report at the aerosol therapy center.
